8 September 2025 – uBlueTec has officially opened applications for its 2025 Entrepreneurial Acceleration Bootcamp, a hands-on programme designed to help individuals and teams transform ideas related to the Blue Economy into viable business ventures. Co-funded by the European Union under the EMFAF–Blue Careers initiative, the bootcamp combines entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and a final hybrid event focused on marine technology and startup development.
The programme is open to teams, startups, students, researchers, freelancers, professionals, and individuals who wish to develop a business idea connected to the Blue Economy. Applicants may come from any professional background and must be aged 18 or older, reside in an EU Member State or associated country, and be able to present in English. Participation is free, although travel costs are not covered.
The bootcamp will be delivered entirely in English and consists of two main phases. The first phase includes five consecutive days of online training in November 2025, with sessions focused on business development, market validation, competition analysis, financial planning, pitching, crowdfunding, and strategic partnerships. Participants are expected to commit approximately three hours per day during this phase. The second phase involves one-on-one mentoring meetings tailored to each team, taking place between late November and early December. These sessions will provide personalised feedback and support in preparation for the final Bootcamp event.
The programme culminates in a two-day hybrid Bootcamp held between December 8–14, 2025, in Romania and online. On the first day, participants will deliver informal pitches and receive feedback from mentors and external experts. On the second day, teams will present their final business ideas to a jury panel and invited audience. All teams that successfully complete the programme will receive a Certificate of Completion. In addition, three non-monetary awards will be presented: Best Pitching Award, Greatest Social & Environmental Impact Award, and Highest Investment Readiness Award.
