uBlueTec

Led by Aix-Marseille University (AMU), this course ran from October to December 2024 as part of the uBlueTec project.

Over 36 hours, six participants explored the principles and governance models behind Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), analyzing their effectiveness and the diversity of management approaches.

The training combined theoretical lectures with a field trip to the Parc National des Calanques, offering practical insights into ecological challenges, pollution issues, and social acceptance of conservation measures.

Students examined policy frameworks, stakeholder roles, and participatory strategies for sustainable coastal and ocean management.

By linking theory with real-world examples, this pilot strengthened critical thinking and collaborative skills essential for future professionals in marine conservation.
