uBlueTec

Elevating Blue Horizons: Reshaping Skills, Crafting Futures

The uBlueTec project is an innovative initiative receiving funding from the European Union through the EMFAF program (European Maritime, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Fund), with the project number 101124893. The project spans a duration of 30 months, commencing in September 2023 and concluding in February 2026. It brings together seven partners representing six EU countries, which include France, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Portugal, and Italy.

The project unfolds in three distinct stages, each outlined below :

Development of the content and educational material of the courses and piloting phase

Dedicated platform for (but not limited to) maritime and underwater technologies and the establishment of an European UW Tecs Hub

Liaison and cooperation with other relative EU projects, initiatives, stakeholders and building long lasting networks of the quadruple helix

Main objectives of uBlueTec

BLUE CURRICULUM

Development of educational material and curriculum linked to micro-credentials and enabling skills-building in state-of-the-art UW technologies from a green/digital perspective.

PILOTING

Piloting the developed assets at HE and VET levels.

CAREER PATHS

Attraction of young talents in terms of career days and entrepreneurial Bootcamps.

HUB on UW TECS

Establishment of a Hub on UW Tecs as a permanent capacity-building structure nurturing the long-lasting collaboration among the involved stakeholders.

PLATFORM

Deployment of a recruitment platform for blue jobs offering online courses and facilitating demand-supply matching between the current and future labour force and industries while intelligently identifying and publishing the skills gap at regional, national, and EU levels.
